Back in November 2007 Imex put together a team of 5 staff to run in this years' 2008 London Marathon with the aim of raising over £10,000 for our chosen charity Barretstown.
As well as the London Marathon staff were invited to take part in a number of sponsored initiatives including sponsored walks, raffles and even a tandem skydive!
Well, thanks to our fantastic staff, customers, suppliers and friends we managed to exceed that target and ended up raising over £14,000 for the charity - a truly magnificent effort! Some of you may recall that it takes over €5 million a year to run Barretstown and almost all of it is given to them by donors. Our donation will make a significant contribution to these children's lives and we hope you all feel as proud as we do! Once again, a huge thank you to all that donated!
The winners of our fantastic luxury hampers were Peter Goode, a security guard from our Weybridge depot trading estate, and Derek Oliver of VW Hicks & Son in Coventry. Our congratulations go out to them and another huge thank you to all those who purchased tickets.
In the meantime don't forget to keep up to date with all the latest happenings at Imex by regularly visiting our website!
