Dave Ewbank has been appointed
as Imex export manager and will
look after overseas markets

Imex has appointed Dave Ewbank as export manager.  This new appointment will allow us to introduce an ambitious overseas sales programme to increase our already expanding market-share, within the automotive trade industry.

Over the years Imex has formed a strong industry reputation for being the UK’s leading independent truck parts specialist and for providing its customers with a real alternative to the franchised network. We currently major mainly on UK sales, but this new appointment will allow us to concentrate on overseas automotive markets.

Mr Ewbank who lives in Somerset, has a wealth of automotive aftermarket experience which comes from working within the industry for over 25 years. His export experience has been gleaned from previous roles and has through his time of trading overseas, always known about Imex.

Arthur Pinkney, Imex managing director says: “2011 was a significant year for Imex, as we celebrated 25 years of serving the automotive industry and supplying quality replacement parts.  We’ve already made one significant investment in our business strategy for early 2012, with longer opening hours being introduced across the UK. We wanted to continue this progress and build on the potential of our ever-increasing overseas database of prospective customers. This new appointment will allow us to concentrate on increasing our overseas sales.”

He continued: “We already export to several countries worldwide, and have been reacting to these enquiries, as they came along. It would be unwise of us to continue to ignore the potential that Europe and other markets pose for us. This new appointment will give us the focus and necessary skills to expand them further.”

Customers can contact Mr Ewbank direct on: +44(0) 1278 723398 or e-mail: export@imexpart.com or visit the website at www.imexpart.com/export.
