Ron delighted to be crossing the Tyne Bridge!

Ron Topping of NORTHERN REBORE SERVICES, a long standing Imex customer, recently ran the Great North Run to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

Ron, who has run the race before, some years ago, decided to take on the challenge again to raise money and awareness for the charity, which he holds close to his heart. He was hoping to finish the course in under 2 hours; however it took him a little longer and he finished in a very respectable 2.5 hours. This was after having fallen off the curb and spraining his ankle!

He said: "at 6 miles I came off the pavement and immediately felt the pain. I had to hobble the remaining 7 miles. I was gutted to take so long, but delighted that I finished!"

Ronald ran in aid of the Alzheimer's Society and raised over £1000. for the charity. He would like to thank Imex for making a donation to the fund.
