Boughey Distribution Limited in Cheshire has bought 100 Anti-Theft Fuel Devices to help prevent fuel theft from its 100 strong fleet. The 100 units were supplied from stock by Imexpart Limited and will tackle the ever-growing threat of diesel theft, which is now at an all time high.Boughey fleet engineer, Paul Brimelow, is an admirer of the device and has acted quickly to protect his fleet:

"Everyone knows the threat of diesel theft but not everyone does something about it. Stolen fuel not only costs money to replace but it also keeps vehicles off the road, which can be very damaging for companies such as ourselves. The Imex units are very impressive and I'm delighted to have bought genuine quality at such a reasonable price."

IMEX managing director, Arthur Pinkney, was equally delighted:

"Our devices are special products and have proved time and time again how effective they are in deterring would be fuel thieves. Boughey Distribution's commitment to ensuring their fleet remains safe from diesel theft represents our biggest single Anti-Theft order to date and we are delighted to aid their fight against truck crime."

With the cost of diesel rising, the FTA estimates that fuel costs represent 30% of the costs of running a 44 tonne lorry so it is more crucial than ever that companies within the transport industry take positive steps to protect their assets.

Following Boughey's recent order, sales of the units have reached 4000 sold since its launch back in 2006 - a definite statement of intent from UK operators.
